Prince George is recognized for hosting premier events of all types that encourage visitors and guests to come to our city. Prince George's collective goal is to attract events that bring new opportunities, people and money into our community to grow and diversify the local economy.

Facilitating the growth of events is a catalyst towards the achievement of economic, sport, and cultural development while building social and community legacies. Hosting events also provides the impetus to develop highly skilled staff and volunteers; essential ingredients for advancing our community capacity.

In order to maximize Prince George's hosting potential the Prince George Event Hosting Guide was created as a comprehensive resource to provide direction for groups in identifying events, establishing support, preparing bids and executing the plans necessary to stage a premier event every time!

EventKit

The EventKit is designed to assist you in hosting a premier event. The EventKit contains tools and equipment necessary to host any successful event. EventKit contains the following items that can be reserved as a Base Kit with Additional Kit Items available as needed.

Base Kit Includes:

  • Two portable tents (1 - 10x15 and 1 - 10x10)
  • Two portable 8' folding tables
  • One portable Fender 2-speaker PA system
  • Six folding chairs
  • Four multi-channel two-way radios
  • Five safety vests
  • 1- 50' heavy duty Extension cord
 

Additional Kit Items:

  • One Coleman portable generator
  • Crowd Control stanchions (7.5 ft tape from each) Max. 10
  • One 10x10 portable tent
  • One fully loaded tool kit: includes cordless drill, hammer, drill bit set, screwdriver set, wrench set, socket set, pliers, tape measure, utility knife, level and hand saw
  • One miscellaneous supply bag: Includes two extension cords, three 100' nylon ropes, sixteen bungee cords, ten pylons, one flashlight, four stopwatches, one first aid kit.
